This blog was supposed to be up by the beginning of the year. Yet here it is, March already, and…nothing. I don’t know why, but I can’t seem to figure out where to start. I wanted to post an intro, something meaningful, something worth a first post. But that just led to me deciding nothing was right. So, I’m just going to start somewhere. And that somewhere is with a 30 day writing challenge (that I may or may not finish, as I’m good at stopping these halfway through – but it’ll get this started).
Day 1: List 10 things that make you happy
- Chocolate. Because chocolate fixes everything, right?
- Sleep. The elusive thing that is often just out of my reach.
- Waves. The sound of which is one of the few things that remotely touch my anxiety.
- Seeing my son smile. No further explanation should be necessary.
- The silence of a snowy winter night. Except this winter. This winter I hate snow.
- Dogs. Because they will love you when no one else has the patience.
- Music. No matter your mood, there’s something that will fit it. Or change it.
- Dancing. One of maybe two things I’d risk going back in time to change. Should’ve never quit dance lessons.
- Creating. Anything creative you put part of yourself into, or that pulls out part of you that you’ve never met.
- Chocolate. Because all good things should start and end with chocolate.
