Today’s writing challenge topic is five places you’d like to visit. I thought, since there is currently a stay at home order in place where I am, I’d think about places to go when this is over. They are in random order, and subject to change but today this is the five that came to mind.
- Iceland. I’ve always felt drawn to Iceland. I’m not sure why. I have friends who have visited and shared interesting and beautiful photos that only make me more inclined to visit.
- Wales. One of my family tree branches goes to Wales. I love all the Welsh shows I’ve watched (Hinterland is one of my favorites and it has a lot of visuals if you want a show that also shows you a lot of the place it’s filmed in) and I’ve been learning Welsh recently. I would love to move there but I’d settle for visiting.
- Ireland. My grandmother was 100% Irish. Her family came over in the late 1800s to Canada and then the United States. I’ve always wanted to go there. My dad passed away before he had the chance, I’d like to go for him also.
- Vancouver, Canada. I’ve never been. There’s a train that goes across Canada and I’d like to take it and then go to Vancouver.
- The west coast of the United States. There’s a list of places I’d like to go. I’ve never made it all the way to the coast. I got as far as Arizona. I’d like to see the redwood trees. I’d like to visit many places in California, Oregon, Washington. I wanted to move to the west coast after high school but life had other plans. I’d like to visit but I’m also still up for moving there if that ever becomes an option.
